The half-hour special features John Goodman as the real Santa Claus. When everyone is spiked with jerktonium, Spongebob saves the day with his own antidote: singing " Don't Be a Jerk (It's Christmas)”. Plankton thinks if everyone is a jerk, they will be put on Santa’s naughty list but he will stay on the nice list and Santa will gift him his ultimate Christmas present: the Krabby Patty secret formula. Plankton tries to convince SpongeBob to transform to feed everyone in Bikini Bottom his special jerktonium-laced fruitcakes.
The three built snow forts (Fort Squidward) to protect one another from each other’s snowballs. But when he kept getting hit by snowballs, he joined in and a seemingly fun snowball fight turns into a battle. Instead, Squidward decides to watch, hoping the pair will get hurt. They try to convince Squidward to join in on the fun, but Squidward declined, calling the act childish. SpongeBob and Patrick have a snowball fight. Season 3, Episode 3: “The Snowball Effect”: Bikini Bottom gets blanketed with snow after an iceberg crashes above them.Squidward eventually gets into the Christmas spirit and dresses up as Santa. Everyone, except Squidward, puts their Christmas letters into glass bottles and shoots them in the air for Santa to receive them and decorate a coral tree. SpongeBob goes on to tell the story to Patrick, Squidward, and Mr. It turns out he never heard of Christmas, so Sandy tells them about it. SpongeBob mistakes the decorations for fire and tries to put them out with seawater. When he finds her, she is putting up Christmas lights. While the show has done plenty of holiday-themed episodes, these are perhaps the best of all.
